What I dream of on World Ballet Day

1I think of my old friend, a beautiful dancer, who was told to lose weight if she wanted to be in the annual show.I think of my old dance teacher, who was constantly hungry but was afraid to eat.I think of those dancers, students and professionals, who are secretly suffering from eating issues and weight concerns.  I dream of a stage where all bodies are respected and admired.I dream of a stage where each and every dancer has his/her unique taste.I dream of a stage where the show is about appreciating the whole art of dance and not about criticising body shapes and sizes.  Dancers Don't Diet respects all dancers - small and large, thin and thick, short and tall, and everything in between.I'm here to provide a safe space for dancers to work with their eating and body concerns so that they can truly shine on stage. Happy World Ballet Day x Fumi x
